Year 5 & Year 6 Food and Fibre Excursion

Year 5 and Year 6 students will participate in an excursion which explores the amazing ways technology is used in agriculture and to learn about food and fibre production through round-robin workshops delivered by industry professionals.

This excursion, known as “Farm Day” facilitated by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, supports the learning occurring in our Science & Technology unit this term called Food and Fibre.

The details for our excursion are below:

Students need to arrive at school at 8am (via First Avenue gate) to meet their teacher in their classroom

Students will be departing school at 8.15am and returning approximately at 3:15pm

Students will need:

-to wear their full school uniform (Green and Gold shirt, including their school hat)

-a small bag with their water bottle, Crunch & Sip, Recess & Lunch – Note: Students can NOT buy food or drinks.

Permission notes need to be returned to the school administration office by Wednesday 26 April 2023.
